Andreas and Marlene have been friends since high school and have been together since college. Their proposal story was one of the stories where it went wrong. Andreas already had a plan in mind. Before asking her to spend the rest of her life with him, being a gentleman, he felt the need to ask for her dad’s approval first. Straight from his flight from Dubai, he met with Marlene’s father and grandfather at her house. Having her father and grandfather’s approval in his pocket, he planned to propose to her at her birthday dinner later that night. Too nervous to ask, he decided to do it after dinner. Later in the car, before they took off home, he showed her the ring and asked her the long-awaited question. It was supposed to make Marlene felt surprised even touched, but Andreas didn’t get that “proper” reaction from Marlene. After agreeing to be his wife, she then explained that her grandfather told her before what Andreas was going to do that night. What a way to ruin a surprise, Grandpa.
They chose a rustic-themed garden party in Klub Kelapa Gading Garden because they love the garden and outdoor ambiance rather than the shimmery ballroom ambiance. They love almost every single moment of their wedding day, from the holy matrimony to the reception, everything was perfect for them. For them, the wedding party was only a way to celebrate their union as two persons who are ready to start a life together. Sure, wedding planning has its charm, but what made them feel more connected was how they planned their lives together in the future. It's more about which house they should buy, how much they should spend, save, and invest, and how they will live as a couple. It’s not just about the wedding, it’s more about the marriage itself. The wedding ends in a day, but marriage is forever.
